URGENT: VALLEY GRAVEL PITS ARE DYING
With the completion of the Seward Meridian Project
many of the main gravel sources in the core area will be depleted
What this means for Valley Residents, Contractors & Developers is higher gravel costs, leading to higher construction and development costs. As well as corporate monopolies on gravel sources. Without local/family owned pits in the core area, gravel would then come from much further away, equating to delivery fees that could be double or triple of what they currently are. Therefore CGP has secured additional nearby gravel products for the next generation, which is detailed in our gravel extraction permit application currently in front of the Mat-Su Borough Planning commission.
We encourage you to be informed on this issue, If you have any questions please contact us.

Thank you
We need your help by making a comment in support for the approval of this permit.
Reason 1 – We are running out of gravel sources in the Mat-Su Valley core area. Reason 2 – Without Central Gravel Products local expansion, the next closest gravel would increase cost for everyone. Reason 3 – Locally owned, trusted and managed family company is better option than out of area corporate conglomerate. There are several ways to be heard:

Why Is This Important?
The locally owned Central Gravel Products operation near Bogard and Trunk Road, needs to secure additional gravel, sand, rock and topsoil to keep future development for home building, local commercial building construction, local road enhancements and public safety projects costs down . We have applied for a Conditional Use Permit, through the Mat-Su Borough for Earth Material Extraction MSB 17.30 to take place just a few miles from our current location, to ensure local access to essential to sand, gravel, rock, topsoil for the next generation
Our Commitment
We at Central Gravel Products, are committed to adhere to all Federal, State and Borough Regulations regarding Gravel extraction which are extensive. In fact, we have self-imposed dozens of additional modifications and restrictions to adhere to GOOD-NEIGHBOR policies. See the 395-page application on MSB public records detailing enforceable conditions, restrictions, and operational policies.
Support Local Business
A vibrant and robust construction industry, depending on local gravel, sand, topsoil is essential for local employment of family wage jobs; equipment operators, home builders, roofers, glass, paint, electrical, lenders, insurance, landscapers and more
Our products and services are necessary and mandatory for everyday Mat-Su growth and Public Safety. We believe a local family-owned operation is by far the best choice for all concerned VS. corporate out of area conglomerates.
