Septic System Materials
Welcome to the septic system page. Here you will find all the products needed to put in a DEC legal septic system. If your putting in a deep trench system you will want to use 3” septic rock with the last foot of rock being 1-1/2” to bed the pipe. If you’re doing a bed system you will need 1 1/2” rock for the whole system. Some people like to bed their pipe between the house and tank with a rock and sand mix. We recommend 3/4 minus NFS for that task. Any questions please give us a call.
1 1/2 Inch Septic Rock
1 1/2” – This product is a round rock with no sand or fines. Its uses are for a bed style septic system, landscaping, French drains, and muddy spots

3 inch Septic Rock
3” Septic rock is a mix of 3”- 1 1/2” round rock it is used in deep trench style septic systems as well as landscaping, and french drains.
$11 per yard $25 minimum
Sand
Sand is screened to less than 1/4” and is used for sand boxes, volley ball courts, pipe bedding, under pavers, road sand, horse stalls, arenas, and dog runs.
$12 per yard – $25 minimum
Pea Gravel
Pea Gravel is 1/4”-3/8” round rock that is good for landscaping, walkways, green house floors, play grounds, and pipe bedding.
$30 per ton $60 minimum.
